As a nut oil, kukui nut oil is exceptionally lightweight and absorbs well into the skin while still providing deep hydration. Its secret lies in its skin-friendly fatty acids and high levels of vitamins A and E. It is rich in linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, with only a small amount of greasy oleic acid. The skin does not feel oily but instead soft and silky. The kukui nut tree is a tropical rainforest tree. Its exact origin is not fully known, as humans have carried it wherever they have settled. The earliest evidence of the tree and its nuts being used dates back 13,000 years to the tropical islands of Southeast Asia.<\/p>
